romantic make-up

I`m one of those who thinks that you create the St. Valentine`s mood any day you want. It doesn`t necessarily have to be on the 14th, because everything can happen: you can get a cold, your boyfriend can get extra hours to work or your baby sitter can decide that she wants to spend this special day not with your children this time. In similar cases, these is no reason to cry on you pillow. Come on, it can be any other day, or if you like, the 14th, but knowing how to create a romantic look is always handy. I`ve got some tips for you, guys, and I hope you`ll enjoy them.

How to Create a Romantic Look

1. Create a Natural Glow

First, you don`t want to be look unnatural, because no man would appreciate it. Choose a natural looking foundation with a sheen, better one with a long lasting formula, because you can never know, what is going to happen tonight. I would wear my Bobbi Brown Long-Wear foundation in Sand.

2. Boost Your Radiance

For a lit-from-within radiance, slightly apply highlighter above your cheeks. I would go for Catrice Hidden Stories higlighter, which gives a very subtle highlight.

3. Natural Looking Blush

Re-create a first-date flush by using a cheek color that is one shade darker than your everyday cheeks. For the evening, reapply more blush. I would choose Artdeco blush in no. 23, because it looks very natural. and has got a nice texture.

4. Waterline

Give tired eyes a lift at the end of a long day with a pearl eye pencil in your waterline. I would use my NYX eye pencil.

5. Lashes

Apply at least 2 or 3 layers of your favorite mascara. Don`t experiment today, but choose the one which you really like. Use natural looking mascara for daytime, and more dramatic one for night. I would go for Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara or the one from my Catrice collection. You can also use a shimmering mascara coat or false lashes, e.g. Essence Hidden Stories mascara coat and Cosmopolitan falsies.

6. Undereye Beauty

Conceal your dark circles with a yellow tone concealer. If the situation is very bad, use a pigmented creamy concealer like Artedo Camouflage Cream.

7. Line Yourself up

Choose a colorful eyeliner if you want to look having an individual style, but remember to choose a darken color than your eyes are. I would definitely choose one color from Makeup Atelier Paris Cake Eyeliner palette. Black can only accentuates under-eye circles, so go for if you don`t know what it is. I love Artdeco High Definition eyeliner, because with the super simple application.

8. Skip All Reds

You are probably (?!!) going to kiss, so red is not the best option for such a day. I know that men are scared of red colored lips, at least my husband. Avoid the intimidating red lipstick, but aim for soft, natural-looking lips. Wear light pink or berry lip balm with color or lip gloss, for example, Essence Glossy Lip balm or XXXL.

Time For Hair

Natural Looking Hair

Don`t dye your hair the day before St. Valentine, because it can be visible on your scalp. I don`t like wearing a strong hold hair spray, and sprays in general, but if I needed a hold, I would go for Aussie Dual Personality Aussome Volume +Gloss hair spray. If you want one with a nice smell and light fixation, use. Keep your hair soft and touchable, because your partner might want to touch it. Make your hair glossy and shiny with a hair cream, e.g. Loreal Professional straightening cream or Leonor Greyl alcohol free volumizing mouse. Straighten if you want, but do you really need it? Your waves would add a spoon of sugar to your romantic look.
